An intimate candlelit night –

Picture this: a quiet romantic evening in Orlando, the ambience of the candles that flickers across your room, sharing a special intimate moment embracing your loved one at your Orlando wedding. The intimacy of candlelight is a key component that directed my creativity with this styled shoot. I wanted all the romantic, timeless, intimate and moody vibes and I mean, who’s Chupich Photography without the moody feels?

I dreamed of a room filled with candles as I was inspired by the ambience of candlelight. I really wanted to put an emphasis on a moody candle lit night and have the light source being purely just candlelight. The contrast between the light of the fire and the shadows that surrounds it, the color of ember and how it gently kisses its subjects – I am in so much awe! It truly sets up a moody yet intimately romantic scene for an Orlando wedding backdrop.

In any means that I move away from the moodiness of candlelight I envisioned using my flash to not only put an emphasize on our only light source from the candles, but to feed into the feel for nostalgia and the vibe of a timeless night. I truly pictured an intimate night with your lover tied in with a ‘drunk in love’ feel and I believe that the using flash as my additional light source will achieve the look I envisioned.

Now, my main concerns for this timeless, dreamy styled shoot I had conjured up was the fire. I wanted to fill the scene with candles spurred all over the room. When reaching out to venues to make this styled shoot possible, it was difficult compromising what I had envisioned of using all these real candles and that it would essentially become a fire hazard. I mean, it was true and there was no way on going around it without a predicted liability.

My good friend Yas who also assisted on coordinating this styled shoot with me, opened her home in Orlando, making this vision possible. We worked with multiple vendors, one of which offered numerous sizes of pillar candles, and we spread them across the floor igniting each one to make the vision I anticipated come to life.

Additionally, creating with others was my motivation for this styled shoot (which was the second I’ve created since my Old Florida Wedding styled shoot). It was very important, too, connecting with other vendors for what I had planned as this styled shoot is as intimate as it can get!
